Snow Angels

Snow Angels

Aha, not the ones you see imprinted by big people and little people lying down flailing their arms and legs as they delight in seeing the imprint of their winged imprint in the fresh snow. No. My snow angels are generous, loving people: usually women, who arrive without notice and begin shoveling my walkways, a path for the oil delivery man, and the driveway to my car. It maybe dawn or dusk, when I hear the rhythmic sound of the shovel. Such a blessing, powered by love. Truly heavenly. My thanks go out to my nieces and nephews.
